"building-studio" is not only defined by buildings (n.) but is equally involved in building (v.) - a practice of making across scales and mediums. Its portfolio ranges from small graphic exercises (S) to large site plans (XL) and all aspects of design in between, all rooted in an iterative process of finding thoughtful solutions that weigh pragmatism with ambition and re-interpretation; that respect the local context; and enriches the wellbeing of the intended user. The studio is interested in ideas of proportion, scale, arrangement and assembly, relying on the conventions of design - particularly the uses of physical models - to both test and communicate these concepts with clarity and propel the design forward in finding undiscovered and latent insights.
